Record, edit, and produce a video podcast centered around the European-style comic books for a local Edinburgh book shop. Build an episode structure around artists and the host to discuss the process behind the creation of the comic. Showcase the wide industry knowledge from the business owner and the craft behind each illustration. The podcast needs to build on the existing community while staying true to the environment created by the owners.

APPROACH

The space also hosts the audience, and the bookshop remains open during recordings. We took this limitation as an opportunity to highlight the activity and embrace the community who join these events.
Opening each episode with a wide-angle time-lapse of the space, we set the scene and attendees for every episode.

After a short intro from the host, we dive into the creation process for the artist, their inspirations, and what it took to get published. Each recording has a Q&A Section which is prompted by audience members, so the community is included in the recording.
This production had a strict no AI policy to protect the artists and their artform.
