Capture the energy, guests, talks, venue, activities, and community of the 2nd edition of the Auld Alliance Festival at the French Institute and turn the video output into a compelling film that grows La Belle Adventures’ audience and attracts future investment.
As a cultural organisation dedicated to bringing community, craftsmanship, and Franco-Scottish heritage together, the Auld Alliance Festival, named after the historic alliance between Scotland and France, places European comic books at the heart of the event.

The film serves three overlapping purposes:

  • Immediate: Give attendees a shareable memory of the event

  • Medium-term: Introduce LBA and the festival to new audiences (parents, creatives, comic book community, French culture enthusiasts)

  • Long-term: Build credibility with financial decision-makers and future investors to demonstrate what LBA can produce and the community they've built

APPROACH

The 2nd edition expands on the success of the first, with a larger speaker lineup and broader programme. This recap film is a key long-term asset: it must work for multiple audiences across time, not just document the day.
The film feels warm & community-driven (people connecting, belonging, sharing a passion), energetic & exciting (the buzz and momentum of a live cultural event), artistic & cinematic (honouring the craft and beauty of the bande dessinée medium)

The edit feels authored, not assembled. Use the architecture of the French Institute as a visual anchor. Let the art speak. Let people's faces tell the story.
